Iranian children awarded at Slovenian painting contest

TEHRAN -- Three Iranian children received awards at the 15th International Competition of Children’s Art Works in Slovenia.
Diba Karimi, Kimia Niazmandan and Mahdieh Ramzi, young painters who are members of Iran’s Institute for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA), received honorary diplomas at the competition.The main theme of the competition was “Ethnological Dress and Folk Dances of My People” and the officials of the event asked people to “select the best, select something that has represented your people for centuries, ethnological dress and folk dances of your nation”.
The competition is cosponsored by Slovenia’s World of Art Magazine and the Gallery of Young People’s Art Works Celje.
